Edith started with one author, my wife. She writes and self-publishes, and every time she finished a manuscript she hit the same wall. A professional editor was too expensive to hire for every book, and often too slow. The tools that were left either could not hold her whole manuscript in mind, or they quietly rewrote her words, which was the one thing she would never allow.
What she actually missed was the back and forth of working with a real editor. Someone who reads the whole book, raises one note at a time, and talks it through with you until you decide. Not a score. Not a rewrite. A conversation about her story, with her voice left intact.
So we built that. Edith reads your entire manuscript first, then works from the big structural questions down to the line, one note at a time. You accept, reject, or push back on every single one, and you make the changes yourself, in your own words. It works for her. We think it will work for you too.

We give notes and suggestions, never rewrites. A tool that writes your sentences for you is not editing, it is replacing you.
